Twin Falls Temple Experience!

Since our computer crashed and we have had to start over from scratch I will have to bore you with our past experiences from a couple months. I think one of the most memorable experiences this summer was the Youth Cultural Celebration and dedication of the Twin Falls Temple.
It started two years ago when the primary children and youth were asked to write their name and favorite scripture on a rock. They then took all the rocks and layed them in the foundation of the Twin Falls Temple. What an amazing thing to take my boys to the open house and remind them that their rock is helping to hold up the temple.
I then been so blessed to help our youth with the Youth Cultural Celebration. Let me tell you how UNBELIEVEABLE it was. To see over 3000 youth perform for the Prophet was a sight to behold. You could hear the wheels turning as he entered the Fair Grounds. It was that silent! President Monson also gave a blessing to all the youth there that they would perform their best and that they would always turn to prayer when they felt the urge. Can I just say after seeing many practices that their performance was truely a miracle! There were no mistakes and I have never seen them perform like they did on that Saturday night. I think all the leaders had tears in their eyes. After the performance as we were leaving, in the sky was the most beautiful sunbeam shining down on us. I will have to find a picture because it was a gift from God!
The next morning, on Sunday, Dave and I got to go the Twin Falls Temple and participate in one of the dedications. I have never felt so close to the Savior as I did as I was sitting there in his Holy House. I have to thank Dave's parents for driving all the way to babysit our kids so Dave and I could attend the dedication. I am so grateful for their sacrifice and we love having them come and visit!
I am so grateful for times like these to help boost my testimony. There is no way you could walk away from this and not believe that there is a Heavenly Father who loves us and wants to be a part of our lives. I am grateful for the peace that the gospel brings to my life even amongst all the turmoil in the world.

The girls I was responsible for. They were so fun and we even woke up early on Saturday morning to eat breakfast at IHOP.
Our Stake's dance was based around the pioneers entering Idaho. They were so good! Their costumes were all sewn specifically for this occasion and they were not easy! Shirts and all.

Trying to fit 3000 youth on the stage during one of our practices.
