I had lunch with Matt Romney, Spencer Zwick and Jim Risch today.
Matt came up from San Diego to meet with the host committee for Mitt's visit to Boise. It was really fun. He and I have a number of things in common. We both have beautiful wives that are pregnant. His wife is due Dec 9th and always goes early. AnnaLisa is due Dec 6th and goes early as well. They had 2 of there 3 go right at 36 weeks and said everything would be fine. Matt quit his job to work on his Dad's campaign full time. He has a great heart and told us some stories about Mitt that were very touching.
I sat next to Spencer Zwick during lunch. He is considered to be Mitt's 6th son. He started with Mitt in the Olympics and moved to Massachusetts when Mitt ran for Governor. He is a very polite and polished young man with a strategic vision of how Mitt can win the nomination. Mitt is doing very well in the early states and with the recent endorsements from evangelical leaders feels that the nation will take notice. I asked him about Mitt's ability to lead foreign policy in this time of crisis and war. He felt like Mitt's ability to bring people together to solve problems is a strength and that we need to have a strong military in the future.

I also sat one person away from Lt. Governor Jim Risch of Idaho. He is a really great man who talked about how we need to have stronger values and republicans need to be more republican. He announced his plans to run as senator. He will be running for the seat currently held by the wide stance senator who shall remain nameless. Above is a picture of us.
All in all it was a great day. Matt and I kept checking our phones for the call to deliver our babies but the call did not come today.
